What You Will Be Doing
Please note that this is a contract position:
Estimated Start Date: July of 2024
Estimated End Date: Flexible
Hours/Week: Estimated 10-20 hours per week based on business needs

The Contract Technical Writer will leverage their expertise in translating complex scientific and medical information into clear, engaging and impactful content to support our R&D and clinical documentation needs.
As part of our team, your core responsibilities will be:
- Collaborate with the R&D and clinical teams to synthesize complex technical and medical information into clear, concise, and compelling summaries, in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Ensure accurate, consistent, and high-quality documentation of clinical trial results and findings
- Assist in the preparation of well structured, evidence-based summaries and manuscripts for external publication
What We Are Looking For
Baseline Skills, Experiences, & Attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or other related health professions
- 5+ years of technical writing experience in the pharmaceutical, medtech, or biotech industry
- Strong understanding of applicable regulatory requirements and guidelines
- Excellent written and spoken English – able to translate complex scientific and technical information into clear, concise, well-organized and accessible content
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to proofread complex content for errors in spelling, consistency, grammar, syntax, and scientific accuracy
- Ability to successfully manage and prioritize writing projects with tight timelines
- Time management and organizational skills to ensure timely completion of high quality documentation, compliant with internal processes and regulatory standards
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in life sciences or other related health professions
- Familiarity with the medical device industry, particularly in the ophthalmology field
- Proficiency in Google Workplace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and Microsoft Office Suite
What We Offer
Anticipated Salary Range: $40/hour to $75/hour. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, operational needs, potential employee qualifications and other considerations permitted by law.
